Before you get started with your loan application here’s what you need to know:
Eligibility
To qualify for our personal loans you must:
- Be a resident of Trinidad and Tobago;
- Be 21 years or older;
- Earn a net minimum salary of TT$5,000.00 monthly;
- Be a full time employee for a minimum of 1 year or have contractual employment for a minimum 2 years.
Documents
To apply for a personal loan you must provide:
- Copies of two (2) valid photo IDs (National Identification Card, Driver’s Permit or T&T Passport);
- Recent job letter, no more than 2 months old;
- Copies of Payslip no more than one (1) month old;
- Proof of Address – Utility Bill in the customer’s name no more than two (2) months old: (TSTT, FLOW, T&TEC, WASA).
(*Note that if the Utility Bill is not in the Customer’s name, the client must supply a Utility Bill for the address at which they reside, along with a letter from the person named on the utility bill stating that the client lives at this address and this person’s ID)
Documentation
The Loans and Compliance Departments will ensure that an application form has been completed for every approved, declined or cancelled loan and that all documents have been received to complete an assessment of the credit worthiness of each applicant.
The loan application outlines the relevant terms & conditions for each loan agreement.
A signed and approved application represents a binding contractual arrangement between Swift Loan Services Limited and the customer.
The information captured on the application should be sufficient to prepare a profile of the customer. Swift Loan Services Limited may not on-board a new customer or extend additional credit where the prospective or existing customer is unable to furnish the required information.
Where the decision to on-board a prospective customer requires authorization from senior management, the customer will be notified of delays in the process and also the final decision of Swift Loan Services Limited shall be conveyed to them.
